Thinking about coming out this weekend, but unsure of snow conditions? Heavy snowfall for the next three days should help change your minds! We're in the midst of a huge system here in Golden, and it isn't going to let up. There is a small break on Friday, but right back at her for the weekend. Should be amazing! Yeehaaaaaa, bring on the pow!

Happy NEW YEAR everyone! Big thank you to everyone who rented this Christmas Season! It was jam packed with lots of new snow and I saw tons of smiling faces! The snow will just not stop around here so come on out and give sledding a try!
The groomed trails have been silky smooth the past few weeks so if you are uncomfortable going up into the mountains, riding trail is always an option!

Beautiful day here in Golden, BC! By that I mean it is snowing hard!! And the forecast shows nothing but snow for the next three or four days! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snooooooow!

The cold snop is almost over! Weather man shows snow and warmer temperatures in the near future. Looks like it might just be a white Christmas after all!! To everyone who has booked over the Holidays we look forward to meeting you! Have fun on the snow!!

Had a great day today with sunny skies and deep snow! It was a bit cold as we are still in the midst of a large high pressure but the forecast shows a warming trend over the next few days and some snow early next week! Merry X-mas everyone!

December is here! Long range forecaset says SNOW SNOW SNOW! If you are thinking of booking over the x-mas holidays try and book as soon as possible to ensure your spots. Last year we booked out the entire vacation season! On another note, it snowed this week, and the alpine is fresh and soft again! Yeehaaaa.
November 28th
Ok everyone, GAME ON! The president of the Golden Snowmobile Club just stopped by the shop to say the groomer is running (snow dependent) as of last night. It will run to the big sign near the rock garden in Quartz Creek, after that it will be a little bumpy, but there is no question, mostly groomed is better then not at all!!!!! Thanks guys! So on the flip side, they will be charging so remember to bring $15 CASH to the trail head. Quartz will be the only zone groomed for the first couple of weeks. As more snow falls we'll keep you up to date. Forecast shows small snowfall amounts for the next few days and early next week as well. OH I'll get you some photos this weekend too in the photo section! (Sorry!)
November 24th
Had a fun day at Quartz Creek today! The main areas were as hard as concrete after as big weekend here in Golden, but we went to a few of our secret spots and found untouched stashes of powder. Looks like a high pressure is setting in for a few days, so the sun should be out! If you are coming out this week stop by the shop and say hello!
November 23th
Amazing day here in Golden above 4000' with the sun shining and and the trial GROOMED! Our local groomer operator helped us out with a new corduroy trail and I hear over a foot of that fresh white stuff fell as well. Although he didn't make it all the way to Quartz Cabin he did his best and we all appreciate it! Look forward to a great season! We also had our first set of rentals this weekend so GAME ON!

Beautiful day here in Golden, British Columbia today with a high of 1 degree and clear sunny skies. The 5 day forecast looks impressive with a system moving in late tonight with some precip. falling for the next three days breaking early on Sunday!! Check back and I'll let you know how it's going as the week progresses.
November 13th
Well I went for my first "REAL" ride of the year this morning. There are still lots of evil little snake head popping out, or hiding just under the new fresh snow we have recieved the past few days. Quartz Creek was a blast, if you are coming out with weekend stop by the shop for more updates.
November 12th
Well we are getting closer to 'rental season'!! 15cm fell over night according to Kicking Horse Mountain Resorts weather station. They also over 19cm has fallen in the past 48 hours so lets keep our fingers crossed for Thurday with snow again in the forecast. As I know you'll know so check back and I'll do my best to keep you up to date.
November 8th
Well, I guess you could say this is the first official 'zone update' of the year. We loaded up and headed to Quratz Creek yesterday with little success. Venturing only as far as the cabin we called it a day. With a common consensus among the group, another few feet is necessary before heading back. Soon guys! Another week or two or one large system should do! I did manage to take one short clip, click here!
October 31st
Happy Halloween everyone! Well it snows every year here in Golden on Halloween, and this years weather looks to tell the same tale yet again. I can barely see the mountains from town, so that means only one thing, PRECIP! As the snowpack developes, so does the stoke from the public! We have between two and four feet of snow in the alpine depending on wind effect, so it is almost time to go. This HUGE system upon us should help with our quest to hop on the sleds for the first time this year. Now that I know how to use this new site, I'll be keeping regular updates telling all of you what's happening out there!
September 14th
Beautiful day here in Golden with fresh snow on the peaks! Most of the gear is in and we'll be opening the middle of October. August 20th
The gear started rolling in this week! It seems early, but I'm getting excited! CKX helmets came in, Slednecks is suppose to be in by Friday, and KLIM should be in by early next week! The shop will be opening October 1st, and the on-line store should be up the same day! Stop in and see what's new for 08/09!

Beautiful day here in Golden, British Columbia, middle of summer and there is still the odd snow patch left around the Columbia Valley. With winter fast approaching and gear starting to flow into the shop we'll be whippin' those throttles in no time! Hope you are all enjoying summer! Look forward to seeing you all again in the fall!!
